Jesse Gable is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) currently based in Central Texas. He created Gable Counseling, based in Austin and routinely servicing College Station. Jesse earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Texas Christian University and a Master’s degree in Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary. During his time at Dallas Seminary he interned at Gaston House, a transitional living facility for men recovering from drug and alcohol addictions and/or sex, porn, and screen addictions. There he found hope for addicts and learned the important role that community plays in each of our lives.
Upon completion of his master’s program he ventured to Northwestern Montana to work with Wilderness Treatment Center (WTC), a 60-day inpatient treatment for young men with drug and alcohol addictions. While with WTC, he became a Licensed Addiction Counselor and certified backcountry guide. Treatment included a 16-21 day backcountry aspect, enabling Jesse to provide care to patients during times of emotional and physical exhaustion. Additionally, Jesse guided families through the recovery process during monthly, five-day family programs, helping facilitate a long-lasting life change.
After a handful of years in Montana, Jesse returned to Texas and became Lead Therapist for Gaston House while building a private practice with West Counseling in Dallas, TX where he worked with individuals, couples, and families on a myriad of issues. Jesse is passionate about God’s design of marriage and has extensive training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT), which is designed to bring further intimacy to this ever-important relationship.
Jesse continues to work predominately with relationships, addictions, and helping young men learn what it means to be the man God has designed them to be.
Away from the counseling office Jesse enjoys being outside (fly fishing, hunting, skiing, camping) with his bride, Christine, and their son, Hank.
